$$$ THE REAL REASON why Pluto got the axe was CORPORATE GREED $$$
The manufacturers of toy solar systems realized they could save a bundle if they could leave Pluto off. That funny orbit at the outer edge of the solar system was expensive to produce, even in their Chinese sweatshops. The toy manufacturers can charge just as much for the new Pluto-less solar systems, and the profits go straight to the bottom line.
The voting astronomers probably sold themselves on the cheap. Many of them were thinking of the royalties they can make on their publications, now that new editions will be required. $$$$$ $HAME! $$$$$

How could I have missed this? If it's not the toy companies screwing us, it's the astronomers. Who can you trust these days?
