The Disappearing Blondes and Redheads
Due to globalization, the blond and redhead genes may disappear in a few generations. No worries though, there will still be plenty of bleach and hairdye to keep you guessing. It’s unfortunate that the homogenizing effect of globalization is extending into our DNA. Any intervention, however, would constitute eugenics, and I certainly hope we never go that route. Rather than ramble on about the situation, I have composed the following haiku.
Redheaded step-kid.
Sadly, your hand-me-down genes
Will wear away soon.

For the good of the species, Paris Hilton must be allowed to breed. Heil Hilton.

Speaking of globalization, I’m not quite in Germany since I haven’t left the airport, but Im on layover in Frankfurt and ther are lots of blondes here. But they do all seem to be partnered with non blondes. My new real fake boyfriend is blondish (second of those) and you know how those kids would turn out. Neways, email me your address and I’ll send you a postcard from Israel. BTW did I mention I’m drunk on G&Ts? Yay! Fun in transit!

Haha, thanks for the motivation. I’m working on it… My day job has been sucking me dry of creativity and I’ve been intellectually tired when I get home. BUT I’m adjusting. I’m back on the science news. Any day now I”ll be back and crackin as usual. A’ight?

My genes are not ‘hand me down’ and i dont accept biggoted science. People were not born to be pushed around. It’s going to be interesting what happens in the next 30 years or so to blondes, brunettes and reds. I think it will come down to core human values. Survival of the fittest. Red heads lighter skin produces higher levels of vitamin D (for strong bones) from the sun, than Brunnetes and possibly blondes. So around the northern hemisphere i dont believe any of the newcoming southern peoples with darker skin will breed us out at all..

Sorry Undefinedboy, but you’re wrong. All genes are hand me down. Unless of course you’re genetically engineered - then your genes are refurbished at best.
I’m not sure what you mean by being “pushed around”… But, um, does anyone conclusively know what we were born for?
And it’s debatable whether natural selection applies to humans at all anymore. So, without addressing the scientific merits of your argument above, I’ll respectfully disagree.
I don’t accept biggoted science either.
Thanks for the comment!
