I’ve been pursuing some other creative projects lately and have neglected my love of spinning science news. I do not intend to abandon this blog — it is very near and dear to me. But please excuse the posting at random intervals. It is a symptom of my random nature. In the meantime, I hope you can enjoy the archives. About this particular monkey:
Sheridan has been a scientist for most of her “adult” life and is currently trying her hand at science policy, scientific communication, and gasp, intellectual property. She has a BS in Biology/Biotechnology and an MS in Marine, Estuarine & Environmental Sciences, concentrating in Environmental Molecular Biology & Biotechnology. (Yes, that’s a mouthful.) Consequently, each of those sciencey words relates to one of Sheridan’s interests. Sheridan’s other interests include space, technology, nutrition, and nanobots, for reasons both personal and professional. Sheridan is the type of person who doesn’t usually run out of ideas, only time, motivation, or reality checks. So watch this space for more projects - plenty are forthcoming.

- Sheridan has been occasionally guest blogging at Small Picture: Spontaneous observations of places, ideas, and happenings in a mobile photo weblog. Based in and around NoVA and Washington, DC.
Note to Potential Collaborators: Sheridan is very interested in scientific communication and science writing and is available for other projects. She is quite capable of being more serious than she is on Attack of the Monkey. However, upon examination of some of these posts, she’s not sure whether she could get much sillier.
